Everybody is talking about it, but how do we actually develop a sustainable society creating new, green and profitable jobs? The key answer is: Research, innovation and higher education.

The Norwegian government is therefore investing heavily in the infrastructure for life science and health technology development. Both through the new Life Science Building at the University of Oslo and through the development of the new Oslo University Hospital. These two buildings will be the heart of Oslo Science City and contribute to solving the major societal challenges. Built for extensive interdisciplinary collaboration, research and education excellence and housing facilities for small and large innovative companies. 

Today's societal challenges require new innovative solutions and new ways of thinking, coming together and collaborating. Oslo Science City will manage all of this! Norway's first innovation district will facilitate tangible collaboration between leading research environments, students, business actors, finance and the public sector. Creating an ecosystem where start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises and established Norwegian and international business develop.

My Government has high ambitions for Norwegian health research and the health industry. We have an excellent science and industry base. The Oslo region has a highly skilled work force with the ability to put new ideas and research to use. We are establishing state of the art infrastructure. 

The Norwegian government is investing in the health innovation eco-system in the Oslo region.
